The Canon T2i is great for photo and video.

What do we use? Everyone has a preference for their video needs. Professionals have one need and consumers another. Some prefer one brand over another and some prefer to have the latest technologies. Electric Tiger Productions uses the latest in video technology. We have been widely experimenting with HD video shot on DSLRs like the Canon 7D or T2i with incredible results. Often, if a project requires complex setup, we prefer to rent equipment to ensure the best possible match for your project. Our current favorites are:

Versatile & lightweight

• Panasonic AG-HMC150 for HD video. The simple SDHC card workflow makes this camera’s time to final short.
• Canon 7D/T2i using Nikon Nikkor primes – get the film look from a simple DSLR. Great file-based workflow. Great low-light performance. Great for commercials, weddings,
• Panasonic AG-DVX100 – a versatile range of options make this classic camcorder a favorite for many situations.

Great little recorder for a wide range of applications.

• Zoom H4(n). This compact, inexpensive audio capture device is amazing when shooting DSLR footage. It has 2 inputs for XLR microphone cables – a feature often unavailable in something so small or so inexpensive!
• Apple Macintosh – we use a variety of machines from older G4s to many newer machines and MacBook Pros in the field. We’re not opposed to PCs, but our workflow operates more efficiently on Macs and much of our software only runs on Mac.
• Final Cut Studio – Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, DVD Studio, Color…so many apps, so little time…
• Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects make your projects hum.
• LaCie & Samsung drives – we love ‘em: Firewire, Firewire 800, even USB and eSATA.
